August 26, 2008 – Donald J. Peters, President and CEO of RHA B, has announced appointments to two positions, officially completing his executive management team.
These positions include Vice President of Support Services, and the Executive Director of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital and the Oromocto Hospital. Stepping into these roles are Jeff Carter and Nicole Tupper respectively.
"I am excited to welcome Jeff Carter and Nicole Tupper aboard. Their experience and expertise will certainly compliment our team. I look forward to working closely with each of them in the future," said Peters.
Profiles:
Jeff Carter is the Vice President for Support Services for RHA B. He is currently the Director of Medical Services Administration for the Miramichi Regional Health Authority. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton) and has also obtained his professional designation as a Certified Health Executive (C.H.E) from the Canadian College of Health Service Executives. He is also the Chapter Chairman for the New Brunswick chapter of the College. Prior to his position as Director of Medical Services Administration, Jeff held portfolios in risk management, quality improvement, health emergency management, health information management, privacy, procurement and materials management. He has been actively involved in various committees at the local and provincial level, including the Provincial Year 2000 Contingency Planning Committee (Chair), the MRHA Utilization Management Committee (Chair) and the MRHA Professional Advisory Committee (Chair).
Nicole Tupper is the Executive Director of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital as well as the Oromocto Public Hospital. She is currently the Administrative Director of the Healthy Aging and Rehabilitation program for River Valley Health.
Nicole is a Registered Nurse who received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from St. Francis Xavier University and a Masters of Nursing from Dalhousie University. Nicole began her career as a staff nurse at the Oromocto Public Hospital. She has since obtained extensive clinical and administrative experience in acute care, rehabilitation and long term care settings. She has held positions as clinical instructor and lecturer with both the University of New Brunswick and Dalhousie University.

There will be five Executive Directors who will be responsible for the day to day clinical operations, they are:
Dean Cummings: Upper River Valley Hospital, Hotel-Dieu of St. Joseph and Tobique Valley Hospital.
Sue Ness: The Moncton Hospital and Sackville Memorial Hospital
Marilyn Underhill: Miramichi Regional Hospital
Margaret Melanson: Saint John Regional Hospital, Charlotte County Hospital, Grand Manan Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital and Sussex Health Centre.
Nicole Tupper: Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital and Oromocto Hospital.
Structure of New Health Authorities:
RHA A will include the previous RHA 1 Beauséjour (Moncton), RHA 4 (Edmundston), RHA 5 (Campbellton) and RHA 6 (Bathurst). RHA A will be based in Bathurst.
RHA B will include the previous RHA1 South East (Moncton), RHA 2 (Saint John), RHA 3 (Fredericton), and RHA 7 (Miramichi). RHA B will be based in Miramichi.
