John Laidlaw is a partner in the Saint John office of the law firm of Cox and Palmer. His practice is in the area of corporate and commercial law.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Allison University in 1980. He then attended the University of New Brunswick Law School, graduating in 1983. He was admitted to the New Brunswick Law Society in 1984 and is a member of the Saint John Law Society, the New Brunswick Law Society and the Canadian Bar Association.
In addition to his law practice, Laidlaw currently serves on the Board of Regents of Mount Allison University. He is also a director of the Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior "A" Hockey League. |

Rod Borden is a retired teacher who resides in Saint John, NB with his wife and four children. He is a graduate of Saint Francis Xavier University and holds a B.A. and a B.ED degree. In 1976, he commenced his teaching career in school district six at Harry Miller Middle School and continued to teach there for the 32 years, retiring in June 2008. Involvement throughout the community has been a big part of his life, which includes coaching of youth sports teams, the United Way, Canadian Cancer Society, Neighbourhood Watch, and the Kidney Society. |

Karen is a past member of the Board of Directors of the United Way where she chaired the Governance Committee. He was a 30 year volunteer with St. John Ambulance serving as Superintendent, Area Staff Officer and on Provincial Council. He is a former President of the Rotary Club and former President of Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home. He served on the Board of Directors of the Provincial Nursing Home Association. Leo was a panelist on a committee which studied and recommended the amalgamation of the City of Miramichi. |

Roxanne Sappier, age 42, is a proud Wolastoq woman from the Tobique First Nation. She graduated from Southern Victoria High School in 1983. She has her Certificate of Health Administration obtained from the University of New Brunswick and her Certificate of Social Work obtained from the University of St. Thomas. She has also studied Office Management from the Atlantic Business College. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Social Work degree with St. Thomas University.
Mrs. Sappier has a 23-year work history with the Tobique First Nation in various management positions. She has been the Director of Health for the Tobique First Nation community since 1999. She sits on committees and special project teams that address the health priorities for her home community of Tobique. Roxanne has been happily married for 19 years and has two beautiful children ages 4 and 14. |
